My page is dedicated to helping pastors find their voice as the pastor of their congregation. I have a multitude of sermons I have written over my lifetime, with over 30 years of preaching on Sundays and Christian holidays. I hope that you will find some inspiration for yourself as you ponder the passage of Scripture you will be opening for your congregation. Blessings!!

I invite you to read and meditate on the thoughts in any of the messages that are found here. I give full approval to your using any of them as inspiration for your own writing of sermons. I hope that you will use some of my thoughts, but be sure you make these yours when you write your messages for your congregation.

What you will find here

The sermons I am posting here are offered for your use in your own study of the Word of God, for your enrichment as a follower of Jesus, or as useful for help in preparing sermons for your congregation.

I have spent many years preaching for God’s people that he entrusted to me as their pastor. I have studied preaching under some wonderful teachers during my Master of Theology program at Princeton Seminary (ThM in 1988). I have been blessed to be able to write literally over 2000 sermons over the course of my preaching career. I assure you that not nearly all of them are worthy of taking up your time to read them.

One note about a sermon as I have them here. A sermon is meant to be heard, not necessarily read. So when preparing these manuscripts, I have tried to remain true to the concept of hearing the Word. When I post a sermon here, I will endeavor to note the preaching context for the message at the beginning of the sermon. I believe that will enable you, my reader, to more fully place yourself in a context of overhearing the Word.
